The New School for Social Research Anthropology Department is pleased to announce our annual graduate student conference ‘On Interdiscipline.’ We have assembled an exceptional number of speakers and participants to discuss the concept of interdisciplinarity and the politics of knowledge production.
As we consider the futures of our disciplines, and as we reflect on what intellectual estates we have inherited, must we inevitably alter the kinds of questions we ask and the ways in which we seek to answer them? ‘On Interdiscipline’ seeks to reflect on what enables new forms of thinking, new ways of knowing, and new ways of being disciplined.
